Excellent indeed!

Texas Tech QB B.J. Symons has been impressive as the veteran replacement for Kliff Kingsbury. Symons threw for a whopping 418 yards and five touchdowns, going 37-of-54 with one interception against a good New Mexico defense.

the tektard defense appears to have not only picked up where they left off last year, they seem to actually be worse

What's the difference by winning a game 17-14 or 56-53?

Baylor beat SMU, hold you horses for a bit until you play a decent opponent...

We should have beat NC State (missed FG to send the game to OT) and beat Ole Miss handily last year. We should at least go 1-1 in this stretch but hopefully will win both games.

If Tech can show any kind of defense,(by that, I mean just get in their way a little) I think we have a decent chance. However, TV and playing away do not make me happy.

Big 12-0,

When are you going to post the article from our big 50-0 win this past week vs. the dreaded OPEN DATE? I mean, it was incredible. Our D didn't give up a single point and we did it while Leach was doing his bit on Fox Sports SW! How amazing is that?

Lestat, that was the same Ohio St that was taken to the wire by San Diego St at home the week before.

One factor leaning in Tech's favor this week is that TA MacLendon, the big back for NCST that killed Tech last year, has a knee injury and will probably see only limited time.

NCST is also probably mentally and physically drained after the 3OT loss and loss to Wake the week before, while Tech has had an extra week of practice and healing.

Personally I hope both Tech and A&M can make it to Oct 4 without a loss. Unlikely, I know, but it would make the matchup even bigger.......

Northside,

Rumour is that some of our guys went down to Austin to help McNutt out. He needed someone who had experience beating the Horns and the Sooners were busy...

Raiderjay,

It would be sweet if both of out teams were undefeated when we meet. That would mean A&M would have beaten both Virginia Tech and Pittsburg and probably be in the top 10. I think our chances of beating TT would be a little better. However since A&M will probably lose both those games, going into TT being 2-2 will be very difficult.
