A University of Texas chemistry major was charged Monday with manufacturing the drug Ecstasy in a laboratory federal officials say was only the second such facility ever discovered in Texas.
A woman who was inside the house also was taken into federal custody and was identified in a federal criminal complaint as Tammy "Cassandra" LeBlanc, 29. She worked at an Austin strip club, according to an affidavit filed to determine if an attorney should be appointed to represent her, and has been charged with manufacturing a controlled substance.
