So decent that they landed him without a scholarship offer to play college football and he got pigeon holed into walking on at Tech.

Kliff is going from having arguably the best college QB to ever play the game to a walk on QB.

Mayfield took over the starting job in his junior year at Lake Travis after Colin Lagasse, the starter was hurt in the first game of the season. LT finished 16-0 that year and of course that was their 5th straight state championship.

As a senior Mayfield's team was 9-2 in their first season in 5A.

He's a good kid, and if he is starting, I have to believe he earned it.
