no one has suggested that he did the TV special for money - its the fact that his people called ESPN to set up an hour long TV special so he could announce he was leaving. It was all for publicity and money. Every athlete receives criticism, that's a result of being in the NBA/NFL/MLB. Race has nothing to do with it.

the $3 million check to the boys and girls club points to it being a very charitable event, and everyone who watched it is a sucker.

Yeah, I'm sure Lebron's thought process was "hey, I want to raise some money for the Boys and Girls club, let me do a TV show stating where I want to go play professional ball."

$3 million is literally CHUMP CHANGE for Lebron. It's like you donating $3 dollars, he wouldn't bat an eye giving that money up if he really wanted that to be the main cause. The man is an entertainer and promoter.

Like I said, I'm a big Lebron fan so I'm not bashing anything he's done. I just have the sense to know the guy loves the spotlight.
