Well, after seeing PLENTY of NFL guys get their arses kicked, bad, by MMA guys it starts losing its luster. There's a reason the NFL guys go train with MMA guys in the offseason. I'll take the wrestling team from any decent D1 school & laugh as they wipe the floor with any football team.

2 weeks ago Yahoo had a poll on who the "best" fighter in the NFL would be in MMA terms & Ray Lewis was the choice. Stephen Neal was in the poll & came in last. Of course anyone that knows anything about it would know that Neal would ****ing wipe the floor with anyone in the league. He's the only guy in the NFL right now that would be a legit contender.

Reminds me of the Dave Chappelle skit "When keeping it real goes wrong" where Chappelle fights a guy thats secretly a level ten black belt!

You guys needed to dig deeper on that site....keith olber****** was dropped from sunday night football.....its now safe to watch....sort of....

I agree. Neal has a strong college wrestling background and actually trains in MMA. I will add though that Ray Lewis was the Florida state wrestling champ in high school. He likely would do well if there were an MMA tournament of NFL players. The people that voted in that poll were the same types that thought Kimbo Slice would dominate the UFC.

Two completely different sports. MMA is pure fighting testing one mans ability to kick the s**t out of the other. The other is a sport of teams, in full pads playing with an oddly shaped ball with tons of rules. Blocking and tackling is not fighting...

It's not outlandish at all for that to happen. The two train for different activities. Naturally in a fight, you'd expect the actual fighter to win since pure size can only make up for so much, even though obviously helps. One thing to remember about Bobino, if this was really him, is that he's only around 5'11' or so. Someone with more reach advantage vs, Huerta might have faired better.

Doubtful. Pretty much anyone who has had even marginal success in the UFC would wipe the floor with pretty much anyone of any body type who has not trained as a professional fighter - fast. The ultimate example is Kimbo - the guy is excellent at beating up street goons because he's big, tough, and mean, but he got annihilated by average MMA talent. Also, pure size can actually be a detriment (unless you're giant and a trained fighter - like Lesnar) because fighting wears you out fast. In fact, nothing is as exhausting as fighting. If you're a fatass like Bobino in this video, unless you can make your size translate into a knockout blow within like 30 seconds, you're going to get rolled as soon as you're winded by a guy like Huerta who's in shape.

It only takes one punch to end a fight if you're strong enough. Reach obviously helps. Could a 160 pound Huerta absorb a punch from a offensive linesman who has some ugly intent behind his fist? Maybe, maybe not.

You're thinking in sport mode. Obviously untrained people will LOSE in a contest that lasts longer than 20 seconds to a trained fighter. In an uncontrolled street fight with no rules? Against someone with an overwhelming reach and size advantage? The outcome is not so sure.

Horrible incident. Great to see Huerta come to the rescue. The Austin police department should be investigated for their multiple cover-ups.

I'm not much of an MMA fan..nor will I become one. But I'm a huge fan of Huerta now.

When I worked offshore the strongest guy on the rig was this 3 time All State wrestling champion from Alaska that stood about 5'10" and weighed about 165lbs, he had incredible upper body strength.

Wow, that somersdault move by Huerta was awesome!

I dont know about... I once witnessed some self proclaimed MMA "fighters" get absolutely pummeled by a "certain" football team at a pool party here in CS... I wont exactly elaborate on that as the last time I tried my post got deleted and almost got banned. Seems to be something that got swept under the rug very SWIFTLY by the somebody. Lesson Learned... Most of these "MMA" guys are jokers who give the elite ones a bad name...

Whatever, dude. Huerta would have never made it a single round in UFC if he didn't have the ability to avoid taking punches from someone with as undoubtedly as slow a punch as Bobino's fat ass is capable of throwing. Not to mention that an untrained guy like him telegraphs his striking intent from a mile away.

Are we arguing whether Huerta would be knocked out if Bobino sucker-punched him like he does women? Sure. Easy. The biggest, baddest dude I know got laid out with a sucker-punch. But that wasn't the setup here - they were faced-up and when Bonino made his move Huerta came at him like a ****ing spider monkey and was in his grill before he could even fully react.
