Burnt orange truly is one of the ugliest colors I've ever seen, and I'd say it regardless of whether or not t.u. was our rival.

Nope, it's because we don't change or re-design our uniforms every year like some schools.

Actually, I know that it is. Saying that you know what I know gave me a chuckle. It's a disgusting color and I truthfully would say that from an unbiased perspective.

Apparently nobody noticed the winky face.

But the first part of it is true (not the "unlike A&M" portion, obviously). Texas has not and will not make any major changes to their uniform because of two reasons:

1. tradition
2. it's the best brand in CFB right now

Occasionally you'll see a sticker or patch to honor a person or cause, and you might see some adjustment to the equipment to take advantage of better technology. About the most dramatic change was when they had the helmet celebrating 100 years of college football.

Every year some schmo on a Longhorn site suggests something stupid (black jersey! ZOMG that would be kewl!!!111!1) and they get pimp-slapped by the traditionalists.

No, it’s because we don’t choose uniforms based on TecmoBowl. Anything other than all white uniforms are the suck. Your pants and jersey’s faded at different rates a few years back and you looked like some bad acid trip one eyed, one horned, flying purple people eaters. Plus you added those gay @ss shark’s teeth around the collar. Tech looks like some kind of genetic experiment gone wrong where they combined Bass Masters, Arena League Football, and Cripps.

Regardless of what you may think of burnt orange UT’s uniforms continually rank among the best with schools like Penn State and Alabama because they all have remained largely unchanged.

Yes those 6 helmet designs over 50 years were drastically different…and I would hardly even count the 2 that we wore for one year and one game commemoratively. The uniform has stayed largely the same over the years.

They could do with a little better material, but darker skinned guys are going to show through any white. And white has been the standard football pants for a long time.

Unless your other color is silver(Raiders) or gold(Saints) using black as the primary color looks like sh*t. Sorry tech.
