Just bought a little over 5 acres in Damon we are wanting to build on in about a year or so. So far we've talked to Tilson and they have a floor plan we really like as is. I just don't "feel" like we are getting a good value with them, but I could be wrong. Went and walked the model and it just didn't seem like we were standing inside a house that cost close to 1M.

Want to do our due diligence so can y'all recommend any builders in the area? Looking at roughly 3,000 sqft higher end home. Don't need full blown custom, just want a quality house.

This is exactly the kind of builder I would recommend. I am not a builder but work in the industry in a different area. No frills just business and transparency. One person gets a well built home and the other makes money without ripping someone off.
And by frills I mean a high marketing and overhead budget to make up for.
