I am not too familiar with north Texas but for several reasons am looking to potentially relocate here later this year and stay for at least 5 yrs.

Looking to buy in an area not too far from airport but ideally one that doesn't cost an arm and a leg in HOA fees and property taxes.

DINKs and don't care about whether we're in a good school district frankly.

Tempted by new constructions. Don't want to deal with renovations.

Hearing good things about Northlake/Roanoke/Justin.
What can you tell me about those areas? How's t-mobile service there? Where else would you recommend?

Id like to stay under a $4K/month housing allowance before maintenance or property tax are factored in.. 3 or 4 BR. Under 2500 sqft.

High property taxes are bull***** I live in a high income tax state currently and, the tax burdens really aren't that different at the end of the the day because of that

Anyone have any luck doing the "make an llc, rent to yourself, write off every housing expense and all property tax" method to come out ahead?

With 161 extension and access, airport and downtown are easily and quickly within reach now if you are: Sachse, Rowlett, Rockwall with first two being closer in.
