How long do you want to ignore this user?
I'm looking to hire a residential property tax consultant, who works on a contingent basis, to lower my rental property assessments. In the past, I have just protested myself, but it has become too much of an administrative burden as the rentals are my side business. I have 2 rentals in Tarrant County, 2 in Dallas County, and my primary residence in Denton County.

What are some things to know going into this? Has anybody had any success with any? If so, who? Thanks!

I use Bettencourt Tax Advisors for my property in Brazos County (Bettencourt is based out of Houston/Harris County). I don't think they do your area but they provide a similar service as to what you're looking for. I believe I paid $55 per property to create an 'account' with them and then will pay them 50% of any tax savings they're able to get. If they get $10k knocked off a property and the tax rate is 2%...they saved me $200 in property tax so I'd pay them $100. I had a few investment properties go up an insane amount this year (40% which = ~$95k) so hopefully they can get those knocked down for me.

That's exactly the kind of thing I'm looking for, except in the DFW area. I've seen some consultants online, but I don't know how good any of them are.
