I have family moving to San Antonio to work at Ft. Sam Houston and need recommendations on neighborhoods to check out as they begin house hunting!

If you have kids still going to school Stone Oak (N.E.I.S.D), is good. What branch are you in, or are you working there as a contractor?

I was a big fan of the Deerfield-Inwood area when we lived there. It's a low traffic, safe, clean area and there were enough things nearby to go do to keep us busy. You'd have good access to 281 from Bitters, and you'd hit it far enough down to avoid a lot of the 281/1604 traffic.

My brother in law is in the navy and I believe he's retiring to teach Radiology down there. Thanks for the info!

I don't know the areas like I used too. Things change. But traffic in San Antonio really can suck. I would really learn where traffic historically gets jacked up and avoid. My dad lives in Bulverde and it is unbelievable how bad 281 is.

It is bad bad bad

Agco98,

My company would like to help in anyway we can. Both myself and my Associate Broker have been directly involved with military relocation to Fort Sam. Take a look at our website at rivervalleyre.com. We have and excellent property search engine. Whether your family is buyer or renting, we would greatly appreciate the opportunity to assist with your home search.

Sincerely,

Bill Barkley
