Does anyone have anything good or bad to say about this company? A buddy of mine is moving to San Antonio and is looking for a house but also wants to possibly build on his own lot. Personally I hate all builders who throw cookie cutter/ track home neighborhoods up in a matter of 6 months. I feel they do shoty work. I'm just trying to help him out and see if anyone knows about this company or any other company that is reputable and pays attention to detail when building a house. TIA

From the experiences of others, Meritage seems to be a pretty good builder out of the cookie cutter types. I also had a cousin in the home building industry and he said Meritage was better than most. If your friend can, I would try to talk to someone who has already built in that development. They usually know the experiences of their neighbors as well.
