Not seeing much activity here. Figured I would see what we are all thinking about this upcoming season? Despite the circumstances, I think things are going to get better sooner than later.

Understand the landscape and it makes it easier. We have a 16 game SEC schedule and we start out basically 0-5 as there are 4 teams that we play 5 games against that have a totally different investment in WBB (South Carolina, LSU, Vanderbilt, and 2 against Texas). We have 3rd party NIL of a couple hundred grand and those schools have $4-5M. Oklahoma and Tennessee also have a substantial advantage but lag behind those top 4 schools that are also Final 4 type teams.

I do think we can make the NCAA tourney and why not go 8-3 against the rest of the SEC to get to .500 in SEC play. Playing well in the non-conference is important.

Looked good at the end of last season but no idea if it was the opposition, key player(s) returning or gelling or something else. Mostly just was able to catch the scores and some highlights.

Have a dumb question Schaefer been head coach at Texas since April of 2020 - that's 6 years.....with the school behind him and The University of Texas women's basketball program ranks near the top tier nationally for team-wide earnings, but individual Longhorns still lag behind the sport's absolute highest-earning megastars. Across the sport, women's basketball is firmly established as the second-highest grossing college sport for NIL nationwide, trailing only college football...GUESS WHAT they haven't won a Championship.....so what makes you think he could here?

I think at this point we aren't talking about winning a national championship. We'd just like to be competitive; middle to top half of the SEC. That would be progress.

Would love to see if we play a lot more games this season in preseason than we did last season. So few games last year.

Of course we still don't have a non conference schedule listed yet so unsure how many games we actually we will have

Curious when a non con schedule will come out seems like we have seen the mens schedule for a month or longer

Nebraska had a NET of 28 last year.

"Interesting" that Texags took the nice schedule graphic from the Athletic Dept and re-tweeted it as an Excel table. Would the strategy be to look for clicks of your own?

Hadn't realized Ny Pryor signed with St John's since pros can't play in the SEC. Wonder if she'll be able to play at all.

Also 10 quad 4 games (all at home) and only one tournament team who was a 10 seed on the non conference schedule is certainly something…

Joni mentioned freshman Jayda Porter had a summer surgery and hasn't practiced with the team, but would hope to have her back soon. Pien is still recovering.

So right now we're extremely thin on the front court with just Essence Cody, Miyah Verse, and Emerald Parker

With the expanded tournament we should be safely in, given our transfer additions and freshman PG, barring injuries or Joni ruining things. I also think this is the weakest the SEC will be depth wise in a long time
