It's not. What's worse is electricity demand is far outpacing supply thanks to these environmental regs shutting down power plants. PJM is projecting a severe electricity shortage starting in 2027 and beyond which will lead to rolling blackouts in the Northeast. As state utility commissions continue pushing toward greater electrification, your going to have a very very serious gap between supply and demand.

This isn't sustainable unless we start building natural gas or nuclear power plants. Wind and solar won't cut it.

Well, the autos are starting to call governments bluff. Stellantis has told the UK their net zero mandates aren't possible and that they will start shutting down production there if the UK doesn't pull back on their laws and/or pay to cover the gap. UK now balking.

It will take auto company threats like this to stop this crap.

Well, they've outlawed cars that exist.

Might as well mandate that only care powers by perpetual motion can be sold.
