Have been w the same CPA and financial advisor here in town for 10-12 years and thinking about mixing it up and making a change. Need the planner/investment advisor to be able to manage TAMU Fidelity retirement plans.

Thanks and gig'em.

This guy is a CPFA, graduated as a member of the FTAB. And a good guy.

Classic Texags. Ask for a recommendation for someone who spent years to become a certified public accountant and a certified financial planner (TM), get recommended someone who sat through a lunch & learn to become certified to advise companies on their sponsoring of 401k plans.

ETA: Pretty sure OP is asking for someone who can manage an individual's Fidelity account under the TAMU plan, and not actually someone to advise TAMU on their Fidelity plan. Thin ice here for the advisor, especially with a household name firm. Be cautious.

Typical TexAgs, flame on a post without providing any useful input whatsoever aside from "Be cautious." You do realize CFP is also an online course, right?

5 semesters worth of (potentially) graduate level online coursework following 3 years in the industry followed by an full day test, yeah.

Mr. Putz holds the CIMA. A wonderful credential to highlight. I was simply pointing out that CPFA wasn't at all what OP asked for.

We haven't gone full TA until someone recommends the $3000 AR and an eco boost and then requests rule 1.
