I'm looking at a combination of VIG and VYM, one more high tech and lower yield and the other less high tech and higher yield. Thoughts on this combo?

That said, if you just love forced income, many CEFs are trading at 2-5 year high discounts to NAV. Retail product, so probably a bit of tax loss harvesting in them between now and end of year.

This is in my traditional 401K, self managed part of that account so it won't be taxed as i understand for a long time

All div etfs are weak. Look at O&G pipelines, Att/verizon, and read up on dividend aristocrats.

EPD, very stable, and growing dividend.
ET, same.

As stated, Verizon, AT&T, Home Depot are good dividend producing stocks.

Monthly dividend, $0.19, hasn't changed in years.

Yield curve inversion brought it down early this year, yield curve appears to be reversing back to normal and the stock price appears to be responding.

I sold a fairly large position for a tax loss more than 60 days ago...1/3 of the way back in less than a week, I'm happy!

I own a decent amount of VNQ from this list.
