First time I've even seen this happen in years of using TD Ameritrade's platform.

The day gain doesn't match the total gain of the individual stocks. So the total doesn't reconcile to the detail.

I called the TD 800 number and they have an intro message saying there's a problem and they are working on it. I guess they're getting inundated with calls.

I'd bet the switch to Charles Schwab has something to it

One time I logged into my USAA, and on the balance of my mortgage had an extra 0!

Made my heart skip a bit.. thinking I owed almost $3,000,000 on something!

theyre moving to Charles Schwab in phases.

I manage an account for my mom and two daughters, my wife and I have three more accounts of my own.

They have moved one daughters account and the other daughter and my mom are moving September 1st.

So i doubt it has anything to do with that, but who knows and it's the first time I know this has happened.

every once is a while TD Ameritrade shows the overall balance is double for maybe a minute.

Makes me a bit nervous that their software is this glitchy.

Good to dump transaction history and detail of holding to a file in case something crazy happened.

I've not come to like Charles Schwab - what's an alternative similar to what TD Ameritrade had going for someone who trades stocks and some options with covered calls?
