Do you gurus expect 1 year CD rates to go up in the next few weeks? after the Fed rate increase?

I was seeing 4.50% and 4.75% a few days ago.

Not a guru but they go up with the feds increase, usually within a couple days.

50 basis point increase this week was already baked into the brokered CD market. The rates might creep up a bit more over the next 6 weeks but I wouldn't expect much

We were showing 4.80% last week on a 1 year but only 4.70% as of this morning

I agree with Bizarro. The big banks bake future increase with market expectations. The smaller banks are slower to increase. Right now, it seems like big financial institutions are paying much higher than community banks, so you may want to shop around.
