Clear, the airport security, company is issuing an IPO tomorrow and I can request it from Robinhood. Looks like it's a random drawing on if you get to buy or not. Anyone else seeing IPOs on Robinhood?

Are IPOs generally a good buy?

Perhaps it isn't such a terrible brokerage after all though.. Last week for example, Robinhooders were able to trade the IPO of GRVI on an Ripster alert while many other traders on brokerages such as Vanguard had zero access to it and missed out on a really nice play.

I use Robinhood as my F***off account.. There are things I definitely do not like about it, but, I gotta say, I like it more than most other platforms when I'm on mobile.


I think the question is more about getting involved with IPO's rather than RH as a platform.

I've made and lost a lot of money on RH. Only put a thousand bucks in. Ran it up to many times that, then dumped it all into something risky and it's all gone. So that was fun.

I didn't get in on the IPO, wasn't "randomly chosen".

It ended the day up 30%.
