New to this board, does anyone have any financial advisor/planner recs for the Austin area? My wife and I are about 10-15 years into our careers and starting to have enough where we're questioning our ability to maximize the planning of it for the future. I frankly just don't have the time to manage it the way I would like, nor the desire to, and want to make sure I'm not leaving money on the table for the future years.

Not a requirement, but would also like advisors/planners that are open to a portion (relax, just a small portion) of digital currency investment as well.

TIA

I use Austin Wealth Management. They are local and I've been happy with their work so far. I'm not sure about digital currency as it's not in my comfort zone, but just ask them. John Toungate is my main point of contact (have known his family for a long time).

Lots of great DIY threads on this board with some very easy initial steps to take (i.e. which tax sheltered accts to maxout in which order, etc.) I say this because paying someone else 1-2% annually to do the easy things for you results in you leaving lots of money on the table. Once you maxed on the DIY stuff then outside help may start to help.

We give our clients access to private investments in insurance. A lot of our clients love them because of the returns are significantly higher than market average and do not correlate to the S&P or O&G.

I would encourage you to find a good independent broker who in completely interested in your overall portfolio and open minded to all investments, not just the buffet his company offers.

At what point do you need an advisor? I feel like I am active with research and managing it, so I don't feel like there is any point.
