Can someone confirm that I am reading this accurately, and that my investments are really performing as poorly as I think they are relative to the market.

I started with this adviser about 14 months ago.

You obviously don’t think your broker is doing a good job, as I seem to recall you posting about this several times in the past. Why not just move your account? And… I thought you worked as a broker?

I am not satsified. I decided to wait it out a couple more months.

Can you post your holdings and % make-up of your total portfolio?

Are you holding a bunch of individual stocks? Or did you and the advisor make a big move after the market fell last July/August (i.e. from an aggressive stance to a conservative one)? There isn't much out there right now that would pull an entire account down 10% unless you incurred a big loss along the way, changed strategies, and the new one hasn't made up the lost ground. Either way....not very good.

There's more to the story somehow.

What does your ML guy say? I've been with ML for ten + years and have been very happy both with returns and service.

What is the advisor defined style index? An what comprises your total portfolio? Funds, individual stocks?

Have you looked at the returns on each of these individual funds? Go to Morningstar.com and type in the symbol for each of these and you can see the return YTD, 1-year, 3-year, etc. Some of those funds are up, some down. OGMYX, which specializes in gold and precious materials, is down 15.74% YTD.
