Coming up to visit in Oct.

Just north of there in Brookings. Are you visiting family in the area?

My wife is from SF. We travel there annually and am planning to be ther in Oct. for bird hunting. My nephew grows corn near Brookings. spoke to him last night crop will likely be a failure this year.

Say do you need me to bring you any Texas goodies. Food is terrible in SD Meat and potatoes and BBQ forget it. Everyone up there thanks pulled pork is amazing. I just keep my mouth shut.

BBQ< seafood, and meskin food you cant get.

I do love the people and the country. Clean fresh and beautiful. Summersa are grand.

Lone Star, Salsa, Blue Bell ?

I summer cattle between Fort Pierre & Onida some years. AWESOME Summers. We bring our mexican food cooking & BBQ up there & it's always a hit. I love the smell of the sweet clover on a mild 80's summer day.

Did she go to Lincoln High? My mom and aunt went there and I thought it was fun when their half marathon took you through the area between the football field and the cafeteria.

I would recommend taking in an Augustana football game. It's no Aggie game, but their new stadium makes it very enjoyable and it's fun to see a lot of guys playing hard because they like the game.

You're right,the food here is very bland. Must be the Scandinavian influence.

Corn is hit and miss this year. Have seen some good looking fields and also some bad...wife's relatives talking 20 bushel corn south of SF.
