job transfer just came through, will be moving in 3 months. Any Ags up there have advice for decent areas in the Ogden area to buy a home?

Ive been in communication with the plant manager at our Cargill facility there. I'll put a bug in his ear and see what he says. Give me a day or two but will get back with you.

So, I found out that anything west of I-15 and then anything in the communities of Davis county (just south of Ogden). There was no recommendation to live in the town of Ogden. I hope this helps!

I just moved to Ogden in January this past year. There are a ton of great places to live. A lot of them depend on your budget. I ended up moving in to a house in North Ogden. Great deal on my house, views of the Salt Lake, Antelope Island, all the mountains. Its really beautiful.

Right on, seems like North Ogden is a nice little spot from the searches I am doing.

My grandparents lived above the Dee events center, the others by ogden country club. Haven't been in a while but been alot. Parts are pretty ghetto if I recall.

Above Weber State Univ on the mountain is a beautiful area with amazing houses (500K-2mill). The other poster is right though, that some parts are ghetto - just like any place really.

If I had the ability to move anywhere, I'd choose N. Ogden, above Weber State, Pleasant View, or even south near Layton/Bountiful. - You'd be commuting against traffic, and you'd be that much closer to SLC which is an awesome city.

JRizzle, see you are a physician. We will be looking for a pediatrician, OBGYN and a family Dr, any recs up there? My wife is due with #2 in January so she is worried about finding a OB she likes.

I've lived in North Ogden for over a year now. You'll want to stay away from homes just east of Ogden between Washington Blvd and Harrison. In fact, stay away from most homes in Ogden, unless you want to live in Washington Terrace.

North Ogden and Harrison are good family oriented places to live, or if you have enough disposable income, head east through the mountains to Eden.

Good to see a couple Ags up there. I think we will be looking at areas North and South of Ogden. Mainly North Ogden and South Weber/Layton. Are there any good spots up there to catch Ag games or do you have to head into SLC for that?

My office is right next to a large OB clinic. I really like an OB names Margit Lister. She is one of my favorite docs here in Ogden. There are a lot of good family docs too. Those just depend mainly on where you live.

As far as football games... There are a couple good places here to watch games. They will likely be playing PAC12 games everywhere here though. I make sure to have Direct TV with the college football package and I think that it will be good. I have a keg that I get filled in WY so that I always have a good supply of non-UT beer on hand
