Looking at possibly making the move. Do you like living in Nashville?

I don't live there (currently I'm stuck in the Panhandle) but my hometown is about 65 miles west of Nashville. It's a great city with great people. My aunt lives in Bellevue (west side of town) and loves it. I lived with her one summer during college and had a good time. Let me know if you have specific questions. I miss my home state

I live in E. TN. After 37 formative years in West Texas, I love the weather and scenery.

Chattanooga has tons to do as does Nashville. My best man has lived there for 15 or more years. Told me when he moved here he wouldn't go back to Angelo. After 6-1/2 years I am beginnig to understand that.

They just don't know good steaks or TexMex. But you can cook your own and enjoy lots of other things!

What sort of work are you in? Some industries are hard to find a job in, others are actively looking (basically, don't do it without a job offer). It's a great place to live, with 4 seasons and lots of great food and entertainment. I'm married, and I don't know much about the singles life, but my wife and I both love it here and will find it hard to leave if we move back to Texas.

I live in Nashville and absolutely love it... its become home to me. (Though I do have to have my trips to Texas and Aggieland.) Just had a nice Muster last week... always so good to see fellow Ags that call Music City home.

Any specific reason for wanting to move here?

Do it. Nashville is awesome. I lived there for a little while and didn't want to leave when I did.

It is quite simply the perfect city.

Well if the Job Offer is something you want, I'd say get on up here! I love it up here. Good people. Beautiful area. Lots to do all the time. It's affordable. Terrible drivers, but, hey, no place is perfect. Ha!

The wife and I moved out here from Dallas in August 2010. Great town, great people.

They have no idea what Mexican food is out here. Although there is a Chuys (mediocre by my standards) and I hear Lupe's is about a year out.

Also, gets dark around 4:30 in the fall and winter. That's a bit depressing in my opinion.

True story about terrible drivers. They have real Mexican (not Tex-Mex) out here, but lots of other great restaurants to choose from. And it gets dark early in the winter, but bright very early in the summer. If you don't mind a 20 minute commute, you can be out in some very pretty country and get a lot for your money on a house.
