Any recommendations on a golf course to play while in Las Vegas next weekend? Will be about 6 guys in town for a bachelor party.

Price would be about $150 or less.

I hate golf in Vegas. Way over-priced, a round takes 5/6 hours, the sun and wind beats you down, and most of your day is shot.

Try The Badlands - about a 30 minute cabride - very typical of Vegas/desert style golf. About $140 green fees.

All golf in Vegas is overpriced, but I think 5 hours on a golf course for $200 is a good way to save money, rather than what I could spend for 4-5 hours in a casino.

The Wolf Course is one of the best I've played.

It is about 35 minutes north of Vegas. It was not crowded, so the pace of play was up to us. We played it in November, and the weather was great.

true statement. But why do something just to avoid doing something else? If you don't want to lose money, hang out by the pool, play nickel slots, walk the strip, or hang at a casino bar and play video poker. The key to VP at a bar is to play the minimum and only play when you're asking the bartender for a drink. No need to play golf for 5/6 and be exhausted the rest of the day...unless you really want to play.

Played Bear's Best last year. It was allsome. But then every course I've ever heard of out there is supposed to be great. Make sure you get a caddie, wherever you go.

i wouldn't exactly call Bali Hai affordable...it was $275 when i played there. I'm not saying it wasn't great, but i'd rather go out of town and pay $100 to play wolf creek.

Ditto on Reflection Bay.

Shadow Creek is one of the best, but it will run you $500.

Whoa?!

$500 green fee!!

Recommend golfers travel 1.5 hours NE to Mesquite, NV & play those courses. Lots of fun.

If you're staying at a MGM spot you should be able to finagle your way onto Shadow Creek without having to pay the $500.

Rio Secco. Get a couple T-Mates. Pre-negotiate birdie and eagle tricks.
