It'll be our first trip there with our family. What are some things to do, places to visit, restaurants, etc?

The town and resort have a pretty crazy amount of pricey high-end presenting restaurants. Are those places options or are you looking for something more reasonable/affordable?

Probably most reasonably priced places. Also curious on things to do outdoors. Any good hiking trails or other things to do outdoors?

From August 2020 on the road into town:

Bridal veil falls is a beautiful hike up into the box canyon. If you are really ambitious you can climb up to the old power station at the top of the falls for an amazing view of town, but beware, the elevation out there is no joke for flatlanders coming from Texas.

Rent a jeep and go drive some trails. Be aware some are very steep and dangerous with unprotected dropoffs that are not for the faint of heart or those scared of heights.

The San Miguel trail is a nice easy stroll along the river through town.

The top of Ophir Pass looking West.

Siam was good Thai food, The Butcher and the Baker was a good bakery for breakfast or to get sandwiches for a picnic lunch, and Brown Dog Pizza was good
