Wife and I looking for a few days in/around nature with food and comfort; good views, and possible nature walks/very light hikes.
We've looked at Ashville but nothing there looked good/what we want.

Buddy of mine mentioned Golden Anchor Cabins in West Virginia.... it looks possible; any feedback?

Don't want a lot of work, just relaxing and spending time together with food, views, and walking around cool stuff.

Looking for mountains, trees, views, possible history, good food, low stress, etc.

Not tied to the Appalachians, but figured it's a good idea.
Don't want Colorado, new England, Florida, or west coast.

The Auberge Primland Lodge is my recommendation. That place is incredible.

I love the Grove Park Inn as well.
For a resort, check out the High Hampton Inn in Cashiers, NC. Great backdrop, quick drive to hikes outside Highlands or stay on property.
If you're flush with cash, check out BlackBerry Farms just across the border in TN. A ridiculously wealthy friend of mine has a couple of places there. If it weren't nice, which I've heard it is, he wouldn't be there.
Lower price but quaint and a nice jumping off spot for the Blue Ridge is Switzerland Inn in NC.
