Anyone been recently? Never been to the interior and wife and I are thinking about a quick 3 day weekend trip to go see a Tigres soccer match at the Volcan. Figure it's more than fine but thought I'd check around for some first hand experiences.

Probably just fly in, stay near the stadium, take the metro 2 stops to the game and back. Supposedly perfectly safe on match day.

Make sure to wear a Raydos jersey you will have a good time.

If open to staying 20 minutes away, staying in San Pedro Garza Garca would be very comfortable and lots of accessible shopping and restaurants.

I went back in middle school, club soccer coach was a former Mexican national team player- we loaded two buses and cruised in. Drank beers at the bar in 6th grade and then played the tournament on the Tigres field. Also stayed downtown and launched water balloons into the area below with 3 man water balloons. It was gorgeous, would highly recommend. Do the canyoneering
