Here are a few frm our travels since Spring if that can be slid in there.

Bohol, Philippines was a really neat trip this year. I love the diving in the Philippines and I got to check off a site I have had my eye on for a while, Balicasag. So many turtles, healthy corals and fish. Even saw a shark sleeping. If you like less touristy countries at a great price point, Philippines is a great spot to land. For the rest of the year, we are going to Lombok, Indonesia and possibly to Siquijor, Phillippines if turnarounds go as planned.

Tarsier Sanctuary was kinda fun to see for an hour to kill. They are so small and would fit in the palm of your hand.

Chocolate Hills (We were there in the rainy season so they are green, but later in year they turn brown, hence the name)

There is no shortage of natural pools to swim in on the island. Sure is nice to cool off after riding around on scooters all day.

Balicasag Island

Oceanica Resort. For $25 you get a breakfast buffet, sun beds, towels and other beach stuff for the day.

We also spent some time at our place in Koh Samui, Thailand. Always a great time to see our friends and just unwind. We plan on semi-retiring here eventually or sell this place and go somewhere that is not as developed. Samui is getting so expensive by Thailand standards.

Bangkok at night.

Our house view

Thai food is our second favorite food behind Vietnamese food.

This is our last meal ritual. It is at a Michelin restaurant called Thai Niyom Cuisine. I get the ribeye with green curry Thai hot and my girlfriend gets the Masaman chicken. We eat this every night before we depart and have for the years we have gone to Thailand. Our bill for 2 drinks, appetizer, 2 main dishes is around $50USD.

Fresh stone crab with yellow curry cooked in a wok with ginger and garlic and Thai chilis. $15USD One of my favorite meals in Samui since it is across the street from our favorite live band bar.

Lamai night market is a good time for live music, drinks and street food. This entire ensemble is $7USD.

Sorry had a heard time uploading my photos from Switzerland

Majority of our time was in Lauterbrunnen Valley and surrounding areas

Murren and Wengen and Interlaken areas and lake Oeschinesee which was close to Kandersteg

We spent 3 days in Lucerne with mountain trips to Mt Rigi and Stanserhorn

Wonderful trip but we traveled in the middle of a heat wave which made for some hot hikes but the lakes were always a cool 70-75'degrees

Maybe not as far as some, but we took a quick drive to the Durango/Ouray area.

Hiking, swimming, sleeping, etc.
Did our best to keep them away from screens and wild fire.

We love the area; this was our 8th summer up there.

We hiked buckskin gulch for a while. Can't remember which canyon we did. Somewhere east of Zion. It was real nice.

Spooky? Peekaboo? Red Reef? Antelope is close but I can't imagine they let you canyoneer there.
Best friend lives in St. George. So many great outdoor things to do.

Great pics! We've been to most of those, but are spending a day in Siena for the first time, within the next two weeks. Any must-see ideas for me?

Also, favorite place on the Italian Riviera? Portofino for us, but Vernazza and Portovenere are among other favorites. Rapallo and Santa Margherita are another couple spots that are underappreciated.

It was none of those. It was just east of mt Carmel. Wish I could remember which one, but it was literally a last minute thing and we didn't decide on the canyon with the guide till we were a few min away.

The best view in Siena is not from the Torre di Manga (the tower in Il Campo), but rather, from the facciatone (the facade of the cathedral expansion that was abandoned due to the plague). It's an easier climb, but, due to being in a higher part of town, is about the same height of the Torre di Manga, and provides a view that includes the Torre (see my picture).

I only did the CT on the Riviera, and would have a hard time choosing.

Possibly The Hunted or the Huntress (Diana's Throne). Those are really good ones just outside Mt Carmel. There's another one where you drive thru some guys ranch (with permission) to get to some BLM land that has a nice slot canyon but I can't remember the name. Regardless, they're all so cool and fun to get into. Glad you got to experience that.

Edit: dammit. should be a thumbs up for a cool experience! I don't have my reading glasses on.

It was the one where you drive through someone's land. We all really enjoyed it, but hiking down buckskin was probably a better experience to be personally. That area is all so amazing regardless.

We did this for my sister instead of a big party here in Houston. Everyone had a huge smile on their faces for 4+ hours. Incredible day!
