I'm booked a cruise leaving from BCN in June and need to figure out how to get there. I normally fly AF through CDG to get to Europe, but prices are extremely high due to the Olympics. The most convenient flight option would be on AC, but I haven't flown them before. I would also like to book through United if possible since I have status with them, but the flight I want isn't showing up as an option on United.com. Does anyone have an opinion on AC Premium Economy?

United does this with code-share flights - for whatever reason they don't show all the options on their website. Presumably because they want to sell seats on their own planes.

Try to find the flights you want on Google Flights and then use the link there which should take you to the United website to purchase.

There may be a price difference compared to booking with Air Canada (I've seen Air Canada sell United seats for less than what United is charging), but I think Air Canada charges for all seat selections.

Does the cruise line you booked have the option to book air?

Not that I'm aware of, but even if they did I'd prefer to book it on my own. I went ahead and booked us on AC. It was significantly cheaper than the next best option (AA), and I get to avoid flying with BA for one of the legs.

Let us know how it goes. I flew Air Canada to Europe twice and had horrible experiences both times, so I refuse to fly them anymore. I hope you have a better experience with them than I had.

The only time I had an opportunity to fly air Canada, they ****ed it up and my entire trip got ****ed up as a result. They are on my **** list.

I flew AC business class this summer and had no issues at all. Other than not having wifi to purchase on the plane, it was a great experience. I look forward to them joining the 21st century and offering wifi on all flights.

I swore off air Canada 5 years ago. What's funny is how many horror stories I've heard from friends since then. They truly are equal in their screwing over of customers
