Plane is sitting in PTY right now and has already been delayed leaving by 2 hours tomorrow morning after arriving 2 hours late from IAH so I'm assuming it's a crew rest thing. Plane is supposed to go to EWR and then onto DIA. My flight is still showing on time but I'm not holding my breath. Looking at a lot of other flights to AUS & IAH from DIA tomorrow and they're similar stories. Hope United figured this **** out and my flight stays on time but I'm not holding my breath.

Denver is a United hub.
They can always substitute in a different aircraft.
I wouldn't sweat it.

I'd be more worried about having a pilot. My flight yesterday out of IAH was straight up cancelled. Had a plane, crew, and 1 of 2 pilots.

Very similar has happened to others I know this past week too

United's has a really bad week of staffing issues

Yep. Texags clients were delayed like 5 hours the other day from Houston to Cancun due to staffing. No issues with the ones who left yesterday, and hoping the last of them make it there without issue today.

Almost 3 hour delay in Houston as stopover on Southwest Sunday night flying back from Costa Rica. Staffing issue.

United from sfo to iah at 7:00 tonight canceled.. Rebooked SWA from Oakland to hobby and had to immediately cancel due to a delay on the first leg of the flight that meant I'd miss the next. Crossing my fingers that the sfo to san to hou pans out. Shaping up to be a messy weekend

Got lucky they switched planes and knock on wood looks like everything is gonna work out. Now if the centurion lounge wait list would just hurry along

I flew into Denver from London last night on United and the airport was like a refugee camp. I travel all the time and have never seen it like that. There were storms too complicating matters. Cots were everywhere. You couldn't find a seat anywhere. The customer service line was at least 500 people long.

My connection got cancelled late night and there were no hotels. They booked me on a flight two days later. I got gouged (over $1000) at the one place with any cars for a one way rental to drive home. It was that or a cot and I was expansing it so not a huge deal but it still pissed me off.

Customer service line tonight was still long as hell. Maybe 250 I figure possibly. But actually made it into AUS with no significant delays so I'll count it as a W

Was really just looking for a way to mention I was in Maui under the guise of a United issue.

United really was miserable this week. Had a 7pm flight coming back to Denver from San Diego on Wednesday. It kept getting pushed, apparently due to weather back east. They pushed it to midnight, and then right before the incoming flight from Houston was about to arrive, they canceled ours, Chicago and Newark at the same time. I don't think it was due to a crew timing issue, because the Houston flight was delayed two extra hours due to waiting on new crew. Had suspicions it was due to avoid the 11pm noise violation at San Diego, but who knows. I think some people may still be stuck there. I luckily got a spot at 9am Thursday. Dulles standby list was like 100 passengers and every flight through end of week was full, so they were counting on people missing a flight.

From what I read there were storms and FAA issues one afternoon at EWR last week that set off this chain of events, schedule was just too ambitious to recover from, crazy.

Got this today from United. I'm 1k so I don't know if it's the same for everyone. I had a connecting flight cancelled.
