South Padre has them for rent to drive around town.

North padre off the corpus causeway. So family friendly. And good & crisp chicken.

I never been to one that uses them quite as extensively and openly as Port A, atleast in Texas

North Padre allows golf carts everywhere except on PR22 (the main road from the mainland to PINS).

Jamaica Beach on Galveston island is golf cart friendly

Crystal Beach and all of Bolivar. I keep a cart at my place and use it every visit. Several cart rental places.

We have done this before in Galveston on the west side in Jamaica beach. So convenient to drive from a house to and from the beach. Lots of fun for sure with kids.

From what I gather, they try to get accounts up to higher user levels and clout, then they sell them to someone. They do this by posting on random threads until they meet the requirements for unlimited posting, without spending money stars. Theoretically, the buyer would be into disinformation campaigns, somehow gathering data, or going to push advertising.

Interesting theory.

I've seen a lot of comments over on TigerDroppings about Chinese bots.

I long suspected that we have Dem bots on the Politics board who lie dormant and then come to life every election cycle. Although this time I don't recall seeing too much of that behavior in 2024. Maybe they didn't get paid enough.

With respect to this thread - several places rent golf carts in Galveston but, I'd say that driving down Seawall in a Golf Cart is pretty risky.

This poster may be one such account. It was spamming various forums with links to vintage texas cities and towns in the last few months, but at some point it looked to be having legit takes on local b/cs stuff. So did the original poster sell the account or was it stolen?

I'm just curious how the OP's trip went since they chose Surfside and there really isn't anywhere to go in a golf cart there. Had a lot of fun down there but it's basically a big trailer park.
