So I'm attending a work conference next month in Las Vegas. The conference will be held at Aria conference center. The room block for aria is sold out and the hotel doubled the room rate (from $230 to $430). Looking for a cheaper option. Thinking either Vdara or parkMGM. Wondering what the walk is like from either one to the Aria conference center. Vdara rooms have the kitchenette which does nothing for me for this trip. Gambling I can do in Aria. ParkMGM is cheaper maybe the rooms aren't as nice.

I'm sure there is someone on here that has done this before.

Vdara or Cosmopolitan are both connected to it.

I've not done it at that hotel, but I usually stay at Bally's when my conference is at the Bellagio. Usually it is a good 20+ min walk from hotel room to conference room location (since those are usually well in the back). I would expect that from probably the Park MGM, etc.

Vdara can be a good value. You don't have a casino or a ton of restaurants in the hotel so you don't pay those prices. It's new and clean, too. We've stayed there a few times when Aria was full. And since it's right next door, we'd easily walk to Aria for dinner.

I honestly can't say which of ParkMGM or Vdara is a closer walk to the Aria conference center. I can say that I've stayed at both hotels and like them both very much. They are my first two options when I plan a Vegas trip.

Vdara is non-smoking and does not have a casino, so it's not quite as crazy in the hotel lobby. There isn't a full service restaurant on site, but they do have a 24 hour market/cafe as well as a lobby bar and lounge. The base rooms are all studio suites and spacious, nearly 600 sq ft. Even if you won't need the mini-stove, the mini-fridge is convenient if you want to keep some bottled water or other beverages handy in your room. And it's just a couple minutes walk from Vdara over to Aria or Bellagio.

ParkMGM is also non-smoking, which makes for a nice casino atmosphere. The casino floor isn't as big as Aria, but that makes it easier to navigate. ParkMGM also has a nice choice of restaurants. The rooms are smaller than Vdara, at a little over 400 sq ft. The rooms were renovated when they rebranded the property a few years ago, so they should be in good shape. My only minor pet peeves are the bed is a little lower to the ground than I'd like, and there is not a ton of closet/storage space in the room, especially compared to Vdara. Still, neither issue is a deal breaker for me. Finally, the walkway from ParkMGM to Aria is inside, so you can avoid the Vegas heat when walking over.

Vdara is for sure a closer walk to the conference area of Aria.

I would look at NoMad. I haven't stayed there personally, but it's most likely where I'll stay next time I'm there. It's attached to Park MGM and a short walk from the Aria.
