Hey guys, planning a trip to the Bahamas with 2 teenage girls. Looking for recommendations of places to stay and things to do. The Hyatt Baha Mar has been recommended. Any thoughts, or other recommendations for places to stay?
If you've never been, make sure to go check out the aquarium at Atlantis. Eat at Fish Fry rather than in resorts. Have them look at Stuart Cove's adventures, on the west end of Nassau Stuart Cove's Nassau Bahamas Ditch them and have a great meal at Graycliff Hotel's restaurant. Bring your wallet. If you go there, 100% take the wine cellar tour after dinner. Graycliff Wine Cellar
We prefer the Baha Mar (had younger teenagers and now older college age) and had a good time both times. Clean, less crowded resort. Eating in the resort can cost you (but good food), so look at upgrading to club level if you have the points (after the reservation online there is usually an option). Taking a taxi into town will cost you the same.
I know others who have been to Atlantis with similar ages, but I have not.
Atlantis will have more for them to do with the water parks but Baha Mar is great too. Everything is super pricey there, including food so keep that in mind. Most of the transfer companies will stop at a grocery store (extra cost) for you to get some snacks/drinks.
Will second what JMac03 says....Atlantis will probably have more to do for them, but I really liked the Baha Mar area and Grand Hyatt is a favorite there. And yes...everything is pricey there so be prepared to spend some $$$.
