Looking to do a two family trip to an all inclusive next summer. 4 adults 6 kids ages 3-12.

Looking at Cancun area, but open to any place served by nonstop Southwest flight from Houston.

Looking for the sweet spot of family oriented, luxurious, but not too pricey. Wondering if anyone had thoughts.

Lot's of seaweed the further south you go. I would stay on the hotel strip to avoid that. We are going to Hyatt Ziva in 2 weeks. No reports of seaweed at that location. It looks to be very nice.

You aren't kidding. I've been busting out some amazing quotes lately!

Except for Spring Break next year. Flights are $1400 from United. Which makes me not happy because I want to go.

Just got back from 1 week in punta Cana for $650pp including transfers and insurance

Finest Playa Mujeres. Book it! Your kids will thank you.

Oh yes I've been quoting it ridiculously cheap. I just wanted to go for SB but yeah $1200-$1400 flights aren't happening, regardless how cheap I can get the rooms.

For those searching for deals, airport shop as well.

The trip we just took would have been $3600 flying out of Houston, but was only 2500 out of DFW.

Only extra expense was the gas to get there and back.

Last year for a wedding I had booked in Cancun, flights out of Austin were in the $400's, and all routed to Dallas. The Dallas flights were $600-$700. Made no sense since all those Austin folks we're on the DFW flights.
