Going there in July as it's currently the choice for our destination. I don't wanna go and then return to the US and say "next time we go we need to do this while we're there". I'd like to get all or most of the best things to do there accomplished.

Which Beach is the best for laying under an umbrella and enjoying drinks from a beach bar?

Things we should know before we go... Laws, unwritten rules, something we might need to bring thats specific for this island? Best places to eat? Hotels?

We are in our 30's and this will be our honeymoon.

Can't help you on the Aruba stuff but I can say at least you won't have to worry about your daughter walking in on you this time

Great place to stay.

Go eat here. They had a balcony where you can sit on oversized chairs together and enjoy the evening after dinner.

We also rented a jeep and drove around the island. One side is all white beaches while the other is all rocks.

If your into outdoor activities, climb Hooiberg.

Of course the nightlife is where all the casinos are located. We did not want to stay in that area, but enjoyed an evening there.

This was also a fun night. We did dinner and bar hopping.

If your staying on the north end of the island, there are lots of shops and restaurants by the hotels, but you can rent a car for a day and and get out and about. It's almost impossible to get lost. All of the roads eventually get you back to the main highway.

Second the recommendation for Flying Fishbone. Get a 5:30 reservation (you'll be there through the sunset), and they have tables at the waterline on the beach so you sit with your feet in the water.

Also, try El Gaucho. It's a really good Argentine steakhouse downtown. LG Smith steakhouse is also very good, but more of a modern vibe.

All of the beaches in front of the hotels are awesome. If you drive down to the southern tip of the island, there is a small, kind of remote beach (Baby Beach) where all of the locals hang out. There is a little hamburger shack restaurant there that serves beer if you want to hang out there for a while.

Most of the island looks like Arizona. There are a couple of companies that offer 4 wheeler tours of the remote parts of the island. It's a fun way to spend half a day.

It's windy. Always. Great for kite surfing, wind surfing and sailing. Try those out

If you're staying in the main hotel area (eagle beach) the beach in front of hotel will be fine

Second the suggestion to do some boat/sailing excursions and try windsurfing if you're up to it.

Restaurants - eat at The Driftwood (fish) and El Gaucho (Argentinian steakhouse). Get the sampler platter at EG, it's good stuff.

Drink plenty of Balashi, the local beer. Presidente/Polar also good options. They've got a beer garden at the Balashi plant that's OK. We've done the aloe plantation tour as well, that was OK. Not sure I'd waste my time on that if it's only one visit.

It's a good island to rent a car. Drive up to the California Lighthouse at the northern tip of the island, drive down to Oranjestad for dinner, lots of cool landmarks and vistas in between.

Visited Aruba and Bonaire last October. Lots of restaurants by the yacht basin (a short walk from the pier where the cruise ships dock) offered a variety of options. We chose one with a Dutch name and the food was outstanding. Several casinos in the area. Heat is brutal in Aruba. Dress accordingly and drink LOTS of water. Polar beer is very good

Aruba has just about the best weather in the Caribbean.

Going in June. Staying at Bucati & Tara at one of the Tara suites. My wife seems convinced from her research that the Tara suites are one of the best in the Caribbean so that is what we're doing this year.

This is our second time in aruba. Stayed at The Tamarign five years ago and I loved the beach there. Eagle Beach is pretty awesome. I personally think Bucati and Tara seemed pricy for Aruba but this year it's my wifes turn to pick so we are doing it. For the money I would have rather done Turks and Caicos but that's just me.

You will enjoy the Bucuti. We had a blast just hanging at their beach bar. The food there is top notch. We would grab enough from the breakfast buffet to take back to the room for lunch when staying on the beach for the day.

The great thing about the resort is it is adult only, and the beach chairs and tents are exclusive for those staying at Bucuti.

My wife is ready to go back....
