Doing a 9-day trip to Italy with my wife in November. Spending a few days in Rome, Florence, and Venice. While we are there, the Ags play Vanderbilt and LSU.

We will be in Rome for the Vandy game, so I've already scouted out a few bars that will play college football. Highlander Pub, Abbey Theater, and Scholar's Lounge apparently all show games upon advanced request. Good to go for the Vandy game.

However, we will be in Venice for the LSU game, and I can't find any places there that show college football. I've looked into streaming online at our hotel through ESPN, but it looks like it requires a subscription to ESPN College Pass which is available everywhere in Europe with the exception of Italy.

Does anyone have any recommendations of places to watch college football in Venice, or a way to stream the game internationally?

You might try Cafe Blue in Venice. They had some soccer games on, so it's worth a shot. Of course, if it's a night game at LSU then the bar may not even be open.

You may consider setting up a Slingbox and just watching it on your laptop or ipad. Take an HDMI cable and hook up your laptop to the hotel TV if you don't want to watch it on your laptop.

I was just there last week. Try to find an American restaurant or bar. Good luck.

Same here. Scholars Bar is your best bet in Rome. There was a sports bar just north of the Duomo in Florence that had the TCU/SFA game on.

Thanks for all the recommendations. I'll have to look into some of those places and also maybe see if I can use someone's sling box. Worst case I might just have to DVR at home and watch when we return the following Sunday night. Just not sure if I can avoid seeing the score that long.

I couldn't get watchespn to work over there either. You can just follow on Twitter and the ESPN game app. They put up game or play highlights almost instantly after each big play or scoring play.

Following the game on Twitter was what I had to do when in Europe.
