Will be going for a week the 1st of June . Any suggestions on what to visit or best places to eat. Will have car for short excursions. Hope you have good ideas

You could check out the Saturday Market. Visit a brew pub or a winery - several good ones in the area.

Check out the Oregon campus. There might be a trackmeet while you are there at Hayward field and that is a great track venue.

Stay near campus and just rent some bikes to get around. There are a couple of companies that will drop them off at your hotel. Animal House was filmed in Eugene. You could attempt to find some of the film sites.

Eugene is a little over an hour from the Oregon Coast. Oregon Coast > Eugene in my opinion.
