I'm taking my family (wife & 2 daughters who will turn 2 and 4 in the coming months) to California tomorrow for 5 nights. We don't have a ton planned, so I wanted to get opinions on things we should do. Here's what we have planned:
Wednesday: Arrive 1:30 at Burbank airport, drive to hotel in Huntington Beach, and have dinner on the water (don't know where yet). I'm lobbying to have a late lunch at Slater's 50/50. No plans for dinner.
Thursday: We'll be at Disney all day. Any suggestions on food/rides/activities at Disney?
Friday: We'll likely have breakfast at the hotel. We are then driving to Torrey Pines/La Jolla to stay Fri/Sat night. We're planning to have an early lunch at Nick's in Laguna Beach, and we should get to Torrey Pines around 1:30-2:00. I think we're going to Pizza Port in Solana Beach for happy hour and dinner. Any recommendations on things to do/see Friday night?
Saturday: We are planning on a quick trip to the beach, and then spending most of the day at the pool or around the resort. I'm probably going to play golf that afternoon at Torrey. Any suggestions for dinner and perhaps breakfast? Places to go in La Jolla?
Sunday: We're staying in Burbank on Sunday night, so we'll probably head up from Torrey after breakfast. Any suggestions for restaurants/activities in the beach towns or in/around LA?
