So we are trying to decide between the new Secrets Resort in Playa Muejeres and Excellence in Riviera Maya... Both are about the same price. The secrets reservation is the deal of the day, so we find out what room we get when we get there. Excellence is the bottom room (pool/spa view). We stayed at Excellence Playa Muejeres for our honeymoon 2 years ago and absolutely loved it. That's the only all inclusive resort we have stayed at we would go back but it's above our price range for this trip. Any reviews suggestions or comments are appreciated!

I have not been to the new secrets but I have been to others. Secrets is nice but a lot if little things make excellance a better choice for us. We will be at epm in June and sept.

How is the Excellence Rivera? Is the beach ok or is the Seagrass too bad? We are just stuck on which to chose....

I think the beach at er would be better, secrets and excellance do a very good job of getting rid of the sea grass the washes up

What is the price diff from epm er and secrets for the dates you are looking?

EPM was about 3500. ER and Secrets were around $2400. We went with secrets to try something new. Will let yall know how we like it!

Actually I like the beach at ERC better than the beach at EPM. Have not been to the Secrets resort. Yes, the sea grass does get washed up on both beaches, but they do a pretty good job of cleaning it up. The ocean seemed much less rough at ERC. The ERC resort is definately older than EPM but is still in the same Excellence class.
