I've summited Enchanted Rock and taken a cog-wheel railway to the top of the Jungfrau. Does that qualify me to participate?

It doesn't preclude you from being able to do it. Seriously though it is physically demanding and very rewarding.

I'm in the same boat as well. Dates don't workout for me, but I'll keep my ear to the grindstone for the future Mtn
