We have a trip booked for Jamaica in June with 18 friends and family. We booked this months ago and hand picked what flight times we wanted to be on. Original departure from DFW to MBJ left at 10:30am and arrived at 2:30pm (non-stop). Return trip home was leaving at 2:30pm and arriving at DFW at 6:30pm (again non-stop).

I rec'd notification from my travel agent of a flight schedule change and I am not happy at all with the return flight home. Now we depart from DFW at 11:55a and arrive at MBJ at 3:35pm (I can live with this), but return home leaves at 11:27am from MBJ and arrives at DFW 3:25pm. The problem with the new departure time is this: The resort is in Ocho Rios, approx. 2 hours from airport. Check in time is no later than 2 hours before departure. 18 people will need to get through security and customs. This makes us leaving the resort at approx. 5am. I don't like this and would have never selected that time .

Should I look into seeing if I can change this to a flight with connections to come close to my original departure time? Should I look into departing from a different airport such as IAH which currently has non-stop flights that fit my original agenda? Can I complain to the airlines? Or just should I suck it up and say oh well, you're still going on vacation?

Yes they changed my flight times also from dfw to mbj in May, kinda stinks as it pretty much took time away from vacation.... Your group should do club mobay, well worth it and you get thru the airport very quickly

Yes definitely call and check other options with that airline.
