Wife and I will be heading to Fredricksburg next weekend with her sister and her husband.

Any recommendations on things to make sure to not to miss? Will be there Thursday afternoon/evening through Sunday.

Depending on the weather and if y'all like the outdoors, I'd recommend checking out Enchanted Rock. It's about 17 miles north of town.

If you don't mind a bit more of a drive (or if y'all are coming from SA, it could be on the way), I also recommend swinging by The Apple Store in Medina. They have some awesome apple cinnamon soft serve ice cream, apple pie, and just about anything else apple you could think of.

Garrison Brothers Distillery, go on Friday if you can because it is cheaper and no reservations needed like Saturdays.

Inwood Estates Winery is one of my favorite places. Their wine is very nice and not as sweet as many of the places there.

Pedernales Brewery is fun, change of pace from all the wine you may be having. Small place and a few beers for $10 .

Crabapple road north of town is very pretty and leads to an awesome old church. South of town the road to the RR bridge with the bats is also scenic.

William Chris is one of the best wineries around (in Hye).

Fredericksburg Brewery is good.

Silver Creek (bar) is open later than most anything else. The sidewalks roll up early pretty much everywhere else.

Go to Luckenbach, Hilmy (my favorite wines), Pedernales (my favorite view), and Woodrose (my favorite amosphere). Check out Albert if anything is going on while you're there. We've driven through and looked, but it's always been shut down when we've been.

I always like to start out at Becker when we go with people who have never been to Fredericksburg for the wineries.
