So I am the best man in a wedding in October and have been asked to coordinate a bachelor party in mid September in Las Vegas. I've been to Vegas twice, but never for a bachelor party.

I know we'll want to go to some pools, probably procure a limo for at least one night, and will want to go to bars without standing in line. I've heard that reaching out to a promoter may be the best way to go in order to get good deals on all of this, just wanted to see if anybody had any advice or anybody that they had used in the past.

Thank you in advance!

I haven't done a bachelor party but I have at least been to Vegas several times, including this past weekend.

Where are you staying?

Pools are easy to get into. Limos are easy to get and really not that expensive. I don't know which clubs have lines and which ones don't, but this past weekend we went to both Tryst (at Wynn) and Marquee (at Cosmo). Tryst had no line when we went on Friday. Marquee had a huge line on Saturday. The promoter route would probably be a decent idea if you want to avoid that, but I don't know much about it.

Regardless of what you set up ahead of time, while you're out there, the more people you talk to, the more things you'll hear about and the more doors will open. That's what I just learned on this last trip. Through talking to lots of people, we ended up getting a few different hook ups throughout the weekend and met so many fun people. You'll have an awesome time even if you just improvise the whole thing.

Also, go to Cosmo. It's the coolest place in Vegas right now.

Here is how to handle it:

If you want to do a pool party deal just contact the VIP host for the hotel where the pool party is at and they will set you up with a cabana or table, etc. (be ready to drop some serious coin for a cabana).

As far as limos go, just go to the front of any nice casino and there is usually always one waiting or have the concierge contact a limo for you. FYI if you are going to a strip club, call in advance and they will send a limo for you free of charge however you will need to pay for a cab ride back to hotel unless you want to pay for a limo back.

As far as night clubs go, also go ahead and get ahold of the casino where the nightclub is at that you want to attend. Their VIP host or hostess will set you up with a table and bottles. Bottle service is the only way to do nightclubs in Vegas for a bachelor party. Yes you will spend 250 to 500 for a bottle of liquor but your admission is covered and you won't have to wait in line to get into the club.

I also recommend doing a nice steakhouse one night. Just make sure you guys aren't all bombed drunk so you will enjoy it.

Anything else just ask.

Also I'd recommend staying at Cosmo or Aria. Let me know what your budget is per night if those are out of the question and I'll give you my opinion on where to stay.

Strohag, thank you so much for the advice, I really appreciate it. I don't think we're going to go all out on the cabana and what not, just going to drink by the pool. In my experience the cabanas have not been worth the money.

My budget would be fine for just about anywhere, but we still have a few guys who might struggle with the nicer places, is there anywhere you can recommend for a 'baller on a budget'? The activities can still be on the high end, but the room will need to be affordable since each person will be liable for the room.

How many guys are going and how many rooms do you need?

Not sure you have been a part of the "dayclub" scene, but that is the way to go. Hanging out at the "free" pool is for the tanktop crowd. Understand that the money you pay for a cabana at the dayclubs is essentially a minimum you must spend on food and drinks. So if the cabana is $1500/$2500, you have to spend that much on drinks and/or food. Given If you have a big enough group, they are definitely worth it and will help you skip the lines, especially if you are all dudes. Check out Wet Republic or Marquee, as both are solid and are more fun than the clubs at night and the ladies are much more scantily clad. Go online to wetrepublic dot com and check out the pics from past weekends.

As far as planning goes, best place to learn everything you need to know is at jackcolton dot com. It will have contact info for the VIP host for every club and dayclub, as well as info on what clubs are worth going to.

Limo-wise, if you are going to a stripclub, call the club and have them send one. If you have a big enough group, they will almost always provide transportation.

Other thing to consider is watching/betting football at the sportsbook. The diehards(like me) will be in the book by 7:30am, as seats will be filled by 8:30am for the day.

-----------
what SB do you hang in? The only time I've ever seen it full at 8:30 is for March Madness.

Aria is my favorite sports book and on a college football Saturday it's full pretty early.

If you want to skip the lines at the club then you are doing bottle service. I recommend bringing some women with you too, they will appreciate that. Even if you just grab some from the line. They will probably have a certain number of bottles you have to buy based on the size of your party.

Pools are no big deal, I think the cabana is worth it though. So much convenience, if nothing else.

If you are on a tight budget then it is a little tougher and you might be looking for more low key. I would skip frivolous stuff like the limo.

You have to be down at 7am Saturdays/Sundays during football season at Bellagio to get a seat.

We like the book at MGM, as it is cozy and has a good number of large screens.

Not only is it busy/full by 8:30am on college football Saturdays, but they have started showing live English soccer matches early in the morning, so those fans are already there when we show up at 7:30.

And, seriously, don't miss the dayclub scene on the weekend. It is so much better than hanging out at the regular hotel pools.

All very useful information! I don't think we'll be too big on sports gambling.

The day club sounds awesome, definitely going to do that. I'll do my best to talk the groups into getting a cabana.

It will be 10 guys, probably 8-10 rooms depending on how many guys want to bunk up with each other.

So basically no one wants to share a room? That will definitely make lodging more expensive. You can probably stay at Aria for $2500//night I'd guess, depending on the weekend. Maybe even less. Cosmo will probably run you upwards of $300/room. If that's too much, I'm sure you'll get other opinions on this but I think Planet Hollywood is a good choice. It will be much cheaper, but it is still right across the street from Citycenter and that's my favorite part of the strip.

If you have guys on a budget nobody needs their own room. Get a room with 2 queen beds and sleep 2 guys to a room. I've been to Vegas probably 10 times and always split a room. You aren't in the damn thing enough to care. If one of the dudes is going to hook up then he has his own bed, just have the other dude go gamble for an hour.

Seems odd for each guy to have his own room. Like other have said, that will definitely limit your options if you aren't able to split costs.

I've stayed at Bill's & Planet Hollywood with a big group of guys and both were great. Remember, it's a group of GUYS and you won't be in the room all that much.

Bill's is cheap and in a good location. Rooms are nicer than you would think. You also have access or the Flamingo pool (or use to so may want to verify that).

Aria & Cosmo are top notch and well worth it if you want to drop a little more cash. Stay 2 to a room and its not that bad.

Wynn/Encore, Bellagio, and the Venetian/Palazzo are all very nice but can be pricey too.

Other good places to stay would be Planet Hollywood, Mirage, or Caesars.

If you give me an idea of how much you want to spend per night I can help you narrow it down. You really won't be in your room more than a few hours a day for when you pass out. I wouldn't sweat it. You can save over 100 a night staying at a lesser place and have more money for gambling, booze, strippers, food, etc.
