Like to see some of the smaller, good wine, no tour busses, as well as the huge estates like Beringer. What are the can't miss ones to see?

Wife loves v sattui they sell deli items for picnics on the grounds and you can only buy the wines there. Can get a little crowded

I thought Rombauer was very cool. Awesome scenery and some areas outside to grab some food while enjoying the wine.

Most people suggest del dotto.. it's pricier though, but quite an experience. Get to drink straight from the barrels.

Benzinger (not Beringer, Benzinger) ... extremely nice winery, wine club is well worth joining (we're members) and they teach you a lot of interesting stuff about the way they run their farm and vineyard.

+1 on Benziger, we enjoyed that one. Also, we did the wine/food pairing at the Mayo Room and really enjoyed it. Something different and the chef was the one to serve us so it was neat to have him there to explain his choices.

Lake Sonoma is beautiful.

If you go to Clos du Bois, they have some wines there that they don't make for mass consumption (i.e. you can't get them here).
