Got a trip to Vegas coming up and was hoping to stay at Caesar's, but it is completely booked for one of the nights we are staying. I've started looking at these newer hotels because they all look nice online. That said, anyone on the Travel board ever stayed at any of these? How was it? Worth the money in your mind?

Thanks for the help.

I stayed at the Cosmo back in January. The rooms are huge because it was originally built to be condos.

Everything is super nice and its the newest. The sportsbook sucks (tiny), but the rest of the gaming was good. The comp program didn't seem to be great, but I didn't really gamble as much as I usually do on that trip.

Wynn/Encore are solid in every way, except the sportsbook (not one at Encore, smallish one at Wynn).

Stayed at the Aria last November. I liked it a lot, but since it was my first trip to Vegas, I don't have anything to compare it to.

BTW, the sushi place next door, Social House, was fantastic.

Cosmo is a younger crowd, known more for restaurants and clubs than for their gaming. Newest of the 3.

Wynn is classier, better gaming. Parasol Bar is a great drink spot. Cross the street to sports book/bar at Palazzo (Lagasse).

Aria is at City Center, massive development. New as well and easy walk to Cosmo.

I've stayed at Aria the last few times I've gone to Vegas. The "New" is starting to wear off. I would recommend Cosmo if you like a young crowd and don't mind the DB factor.

You can't go wrong with the Wynn, but for that money you might look at getting one of the remodeled rooms at Bellagio.

I've stayed at Aria twice. I really like it a lot and for the price, it is hard to beat, IMO.

BTHO and I sat at the Vesper Bar in Cosmo with our "ribs" this summer and, at 1am, the sights you see are really incredible. Watching girls in 6" heels drunker than Cooter Brown stumbling around is pretty amusing. It's a hotel within a nightclub. If you like that scene and don't mind the median age being 25 and the smell of self tanning lotion and Cool Water, go right ahead. Beware the huge (I can't overstate it enough), DB factor, though.

Wynn is very nice, but if I stayed there, I couldn't help but think about how much the room (and everything else) cost.

IMO, Aria is priced at a point that chokes out the riff raff, is pleasant on the senses, but doesn't make me feel uncomfortable paying what I did.
