I had good luck from TexAgs when someone recommended one in NYC, so I'll try it again. I'm going to be in San Diego in Sept. when the Ags are playing Okie lite. I'll be staying in the Gaslamp district near the convention center.

I've already googled a list of them. I'm just looking for personal recommendations of where to/not to go.

The Local. Very good. I know the owner and the bartenders there.

Nicky Rottens is pretty good and there is also a place called Tilted Kilt.

No. There are no good bars in San Diego.

Tilted Kilt has really nice eye candy, if that matters. The food there is good and there beer selection is nice, but both are a little pricy. I doubt you will get any audio on a Big XII game. They are hippie tree huggers, but enough of the Pac XII supporters will be there to have there game the one on the overhead audio.

The audio applies to everywhere, not just the Kilt.

The SD a&m club is having our game watching party at a new tilted kilt in mission valley this year. just 15 minutes or so from the gaslamp. Come watch the game with fellow Ags, it's always a decent turnout.
