Any one been in last week or so? Is there any floatable water ?
***UPDATE***
Just returned from the Frio............
Sunday - Tuesday
Each day we put in @ 7 Bluff Crossing and the slight South breeze actually caused us to float "up stream" (about an hours float). Day 1 (Sunday) about 3-5 inches of water crossing the road. Day 2 (Monday) 1-3 inches of water crossing the road. Day 3 (Tuesday) NO WATER CROSSING THE ROAD.
Along the said "up stream" float, several holes 7-10 feet deep.
More than enough water to float a tube and drink a cold one.

If your going to the Frio, you better hurry !

Until next year........pray for abundant Spring rains !

I'd imagine not...

We go every summer and are going in 2 weeks. Floating isn't even on our radar.

It is 6.5 right now. Usually it needs to be in the mid 20's for even "bad" floating...Mid 20s is about what it has been the last 2-3 summers.

It hit the record low of 1.9 cfs last weekend while we were there on Memorial Day. There was no one floating which is wild for such a busy weekend. If we don't see a lot of rain soon floating won't be happening this summer.

That's a shame. Concan is one of my favorite places in TX.

Was it at least acceptable for sitting in the water drinking beer? Thats my game plan for my 2 days there...

Where we were it was fine for swimming and beer drinking. There might be places on the river that are too low for that but a short walk and you should find some deeper water. It was unbelievable how low it was, very sad. They need a flood in a bad way.

Yeah, I think a tropical storm or hurricane parking over southwest Texas is their only hope. It is ridiculous how that tiny part of the state hasn't seen significant rain in what seems like 3-4 years.

Water is always deeper at garner state park then down by neils and Concan. Still got to be pretty bad though.

We were there last weekend. The only float would be a hike.

We went to the 1st crossing(by the big gravel parking lot) and it was waist deep on the upstream side of the road. Not too crowded either.

Luckily, our house had a pool so water wasn't a huge deal for us but not floating still didn't feel right. We did have time to at a round of golf though. The club at Concan is a pretty decent course if you enjoy hacking the ball around like me.

The tube rental places have got to be getting hit hard by this. It was pretty dead down there.

We were there last weekend as well. Most of us got in on Thursday afternoon. Our house is directly above the Comanche Crossing. We walked down there and plopped in (on the upstream side of the road so it was deep enough to sit). We were the only people there.

Friday morning I ran up to 7 Bluffs and saw what a joke it was. No way were we putting in. So Friday and Saturday we just hung out at comanche crossing again. It was actually nice that you could just walk up to the house and have lunch instead of our normal stop at the gravel bar at the private crossing. And there was none of the normal hassle of getting everybody coordinated.

The owner of Fat Rob's Tubes is a family friend of one of my buddies. He was over on Friday and Saturday night and said his business has been absolutely atrocious. Last year on the first Saturday in June he did 400 tubes. This past Saturday he did 4. Yes, 4.

on the bright side - maybe this will keep away the obnoxious losers who like to plant themselves on the other side of the river from Neals - Ill be there in late July

buddy who is planning our trip in July just called me and told me they are looking to possibly close the river due to bacteria levels being too high.....like the OP said, if you are going to the Frio, you better go pretty damn quick
