Headed to OKC for a weekend in a few weeks, wondering what we should do... any ideas? We'd like to see the memorial and a few other places and eat somewhere good!

In northwest OK City there is a lake (can't remember the name) that has several good place to eat on its shore, with live music.

If their AAA baseball team, the Red Hawks, are in town, go see a game at Bricktown. There are also some good places to stay in Bricktonw/downtown (if you haven't booked accomodations), along with bars, restaurants, a 16 or so screen theater, and a Bass Pro Shop.

lake hefner is what he's talkin about, and at night on weekends either Louie's or Mama Roja's will have live music...both places are a lot of fun.

Are you driving?

Pull off at the Turner Falls overlook. I begged my husband to do this many times. Finally I convinced him. It is worth the five minute delay.

Downtown OKC has Bricktown, which is their bar/entertainment district. I was there for the Big XII basketball tourney and it was a pretty good time. They had just opened up some new restaurants that were really good. If you have a free night or two, it's a good time.

Oklahoma sucks. I went for the first time last fall for the A&M/OSU game. I won't go back.

Skip the Science Museum. Not worth the $40+/person which included a couple extra exhibit options. We tried it because it scored pretty high marks on tripadvisor.com, but it was pretty run-down and had a grungy pre-K daycare smell to it.

+1 for the zoo.

Very good for the size of the city, much better than Houston's, unfortunately.

The museum costs about $10.00 did you sign up for a season pass or something. For $10.00 not a bad value.
