I am planning a day trip for a friend and me. She lives in Carrollton so it is going to require a little bit of driving to get out there, but this is what I am thinking. I am looking for feedback on the plans, particularly those who have been to these places before. Is there anything else that I should add? I would like to add something to do after dark where we can go see stars.


My trip so far:
Dinosaur Valley State Park

Fossil Rim Wildlife Area

Dublin Bottling Plant for a tour of the bottling plant and to stock up on Dublin DP

Here's the important question. What will y'all be eating?

Well, with her, she doesn't really like eating out. So I imagine lunch or dinner will be something I cook some place. Maybe at a roadside park? I would love to do the other meal at Hard Eight BBQ in Stephenville.

Anybody been to Fossil Rim? Is it worth the $20+ per person?

Personally, I like Fossil Rim, neat place.

You can see some pretty good stars out at Dinosaur Valley.

I take it with the three locations (time), you're not looking at much hiking this go around.

she isn't much of a hiker (that's why she only gets to hang out with me every so often ) but loves zoos. I think she will love fossil rim.

I like the square in Granbury. They have a beautiful courthouse.
