Terrible news.

Very sad...

They were expecting another child in October too...

My brother works for the Travs and he said the guy was killed instantly. Very surreal.

See, I heard that he was administered CPR on the field and was breathing when they loaded him into the ambulance, but died on the way to the hospital. (Disco Stu beat me to it, I was looking for that same quote).

Either way, it's a horrible, horrible story. Prayers to his family and also to Tino Sanchez, the kid that hit him. I cannot fathom what he's going through right now.

I stand corrected and I may have misunderstood my brother, he was pretty shaken up. He said that the guy had a faint pulse but wasn't breathing on his own.

Not that any of this matters. Who would have thought a trip to work at the ballpark would end in a death. Proof that we aren't in control.

Wasn't he the guy that got hit by a clipboard during a high school game back in the late 1980's?

I think he was the QB that got hit in the face by a clip board. I know it was the QB at Roosevelt.

The Travs and Midland declined to play either of their games tonight.

One thing, my brother said that reports are that the coach was actually hit in the throat area. Take it for what it's worth.

2 kids and 1 on the way. How Sad, God be with this family.

Coroners report is out. Looks like the ball got him in the neck and not the head.

Yeah, it hit him on the left side of his neck but all the damage was to the right side. Goodness, sounds like a terrible way to die.
